Important Age and Residency Verification Information

Updated Wednesday February 22, 2017 by Yreka Little League.

There has been a change....  Please note that age needs to be verified PRIOR to draft for ALL divisions.  All 5 divisions must submit the required information as stated in the new 2017 Residency and school Attendance Eligibility requirements.  JUNIORS, MAJORS, MINORS, FARM, and TBALL must bring their COPIES of paperwork on one of the following days to Ringe:
Wednesday 2/22 between 4:30pm and 7:00 pm
Saturday 2/25 between 7:30am and 1:00pm
**JUNIORS:  Please note that you may bring your paperwork to your tryouts on March 1st and 5:30 or March 4th at 2:00 if that is easier for you.  Tryouts for Juniors will take place on those dates in March at those times at Hibbard Field.**
IN ADDITION to one piece of paperwork from the following groups you MUST bring both the original AND a copy of your child's birth certificate for age verification as well.  Your child will NOT be able to participate in the 2017 baseball tryouts without copies of proof of residency AND birth certificate on file.  In our Bylaws it states that if a player does not tryout they will randomly be placed on a Juniors, Majors, Minors, Farm or TBall team once residency and age is verified.
Beginning with the 2017 season, the following changes will be implemented for the Residency and School Attendance Eligibility Requirements:
• A school issued report card or performance record will no longer be accepted to establish school attendance. Either the school enrollment form or an official/certified school enrollment record dated prior to October 1, 2016 can be used to establish school attendance for the 2017 season.
• Also, residence shall be established and supported by documents containing the full residence which includes parent(s) or guardian(s) name, street address, city, state and zip code information, dated or in force between February 1, 2016 (previous year) and February 1, 2017 (current year), from one or more documents from EACH of the three Groups outlined below:

Group I

1. Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s) with qualifying residence address)
2. School records (home address of player’s parents or guardians)
3. Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)
4. Employment records
5. Insurance documents (with residence address)

Group II

1. Welfare/child care records
2. Federal records (i.e., Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.)
3. State records
4. Local (municipal) records
5. Support payment records
6. Homeowner or tenant records
7. Military records

Group III

1. Voter’s Registration
2. Utility bills (i.e., - gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
3. Financial records (loan, credit, investments, etc.)
4. Medical records
5. Internet, cable, or satellite television records
NOTE: Example – Three documents from the same Group (utility bill, cable bill, and bank statement) constitute only ONE document.
